We've never been this invested in someone else's construction project. Every time we walk past the new location for Eggslut, on the Atlanta Beltline, we slow down just a little.
Has anything changed?
Can we see inside?
Is there a sign announcing Opening Day?
Nope, not yet.
But one day soon, those doors are going to open. And there is no doubt that half of Atlanta will be in the neighborhood that morning.
So why all the hype about Eggslut?
If you feel like you can't scroll social without seeing what your friends ate for breakfast, you're not alone. Atlanta's breakfast scene has been on a roll recently with new bagel shops opening across the city.
But Eggslut isn't trying to reinvent breakfast. This Los Angeles-born sandwich shop is challenging the norm with one simple philosophy: eggs deserve better than being confined to breakfast.
Honestly, we couldn't agree more.
