Barks and Bites: BeltLine Doggie Crawl

Overview

Bring your furry foodie on this exclusive BeltLine restaurant crawl for dogs! We stop at 3 dog friendly restaurants that serve up dishes made just for them. There’s even a special “Dog Brew” so you can toast a beer with your pup. Plus, your dog’s tail will be wagging when you take them shopping at local pet boutiques, and you’ll bring home lots of paw-some giveaways from popular dog companies. Don't miss out on the paw-ty – your doggie will love you fur-ever for this!

What To Expect

  • Treat your pup to gourmet food prepared just for them and a "Dog Brew" made for pups by Elsewhere Brewing (all included in price).

  • You get small bites + 1 craft beer (included in price).

  • Discover paw-some pet boutiques to return to later and take home fun-filled doggie bags.

  • Get lots of canine giveaways from local and national pet companies like Piedmont Bark, Ruby's Rootin Snootin Snuffles, Dulces de Luna, Brutus Bone Broth and more.

  • Bring home a happy pup!

And now, you can feel good knowing you're helping other dogs. Beginning in March 2024, we will donate a portion of our proceeds to animal rescue organizations. Each month (except August) is designated to help a different organization. See the 2024 Donation Calendar.

“My husband and I took our schnauzer to this and we all had a blast. I didn't realize places like Butter & Cream served a pup cup and other places that were so dog friendly. We also visited some cute dog boutiques...We'll certainly do this again.”

  • Who is this tour for?
Visitors to Atlanta. Looking for good restaurants? We give you a sampling of places you may want to return to, and make other recommendations for some of Atlanta's best places to eat. It's also a great way to experience the Atlanta BeltLine - there is no better place in the city to people watch! Just Moved to Atlanta. Welcome! As you get to know your way around, let us show you the popular Old Fourth Ward neighborhood and its many restaurants. We are glad to give you additional recommendations for where to go in Atlanta. Metro Atlantans. Have you heard about the BeltLine, but have no idea where to start? We take all the guesswork out of it for you. We make everything easy, including telling you where to park. Let us show you some of the city's best restaurants, so you can return there later. Even if you've been on the BeltLine before, you will probably discover places and things you haven't seen before. Some of our tour participants had been on the Eastside Trail a number of times, but hadn't been to any of the restaurants we feature. Celebrations. Birthdays. Bachelorette parties. Couples night out. Book our Saturday morning tour, or contact us to create a private, customized tour for you. Corporate events. Looking for a teambuilding activity to bring everyone together after the long COVID separation? We can create a fun, customized tour for your company on a day/time of your choosing.
  • Will I get enough to eat?
We sample food from 4-5 restaurants. And while we are eating small bites, it should be enough to fill you up by the end of the tour.
  • What if it rains?
Bring an umbrella! We won't let a little rain dampen our fun. We will eat inside the restaurants, so no worries there. If it's a lot of rain, like a hurricane, we will make the call and notify you of a cancellation.
  • Can I bring my kids?
For now, this is an adults only tour. You deserve a break from your kids! We do serve alcohol on our tours, and you must be 21+ and present valid ID in order to drink. Those 18 and older may come on the tours and have a non-alcoholic drink. The tours are not appropriate for children or infants. But we'll be sure to share some tips for kid-friendly spots, so you can bring them back the next time.
  • Are there vegetarian/GF options?
We applaud your healthy eating! Yes, we now have the option to be vegan, dairy-free or gluten-free at an additional charge (to cover the costs of ordering food just for you). Otherwise, our tours are meant to give you diverse food offerings. Please let us know if you have a food allergy, and we will try to accommodate it.
  • How much walking is involved?
We walk about 1 mile, at a moderate pace, enough to give you an experience of the BeltLine and its restaurants without tiring you out. Walking is mostly on a flat concrete surface.
  • I changed my mind, can I get a refund?
We understand that plans can change. If you cancel up to 24 hours before a tour, we will give you a refund, no problem! No shows will not receive a refund.
  • What should I wear/bring?
Wear walking shoes and cool, comfortable clothes - Atlanta gets hot! Carry a water bottle to stay hydrated, and an umbrella if it looks like rain. And be sure to bring a driver's license to show proof of age to drink alcohol if you are 21+. There are also many photo opps along the BeltLine, so make sure your phone is charged!
  • Can I take pictures?
Yes please! And be sure to tag us on Facebook and Instagram @bitelinesatl
  • Where do I park?
The best place to park is the parking garage for Krog Street Market, with the entrance on Krog Street. Download the Park Mobile app in advance to save time and enter payment information for parking. We recommend selecting 4 hours, as our tours run a little over 3 hours.
  • Can my dog/cat come?
Want to bring your dog along? We've got just the tour for you. It's Barks & Bites: Doggie Food Crawl on the BeltLine. We eat on restaurant patios, and this tour caters to your dog. On our BeltLine Food and Street Art Tour, we cannot bring our dogs - or any other pets - as we eat inside restaurants. And frankly, our fur babies would be bored anyway.
  • Do you offer custom tours?
Yes we do! If you want to entertain clients, invite a group of friends to a birthday dinner or throw a bachelorette party - we got you. We work with you to create a customized tour on a day and time you select. Email us with your request at contact@bitelinesatl.com or call us at 404.301.3751 to discuss.
  • Do you sell gift cards?
Yes, and our tours make a great gift for the foodie, or dog lover, in your life! They can be used for any tour up to 1 year from purchase. Book here.
  • What is included on the Doggie Crawl?
This is a unique dining experience for dogs! Your furrie foodie gets a “gourmet dish” at each restaurant. Hoomans also get small bites at each stop + 1 craft beer or soda at 1 restaurant. You will take home a “doggie bag” with fun freebies from local and national dog businesses, along with giveaways from pet boutiques on our crawl. And you may win a prize!
  • What restaurants do we go to?
We go to 3 popular restaurants on the Atlanta BeltLine. The restaurants change from time to time, but we have had burgers and dogs for the dogs, and chili dogs, burgers and fries for their paw-rents. We provide menu items your dog will like. If you are interested in a diverse sampling of some of Atlanta’s best restaurants, we encourage you to book our Food Tour on the Atlanta BeltLine.
  • How often is the Doggie Crawl held?
Currently, once a month. And beginning March 2024, it will be held twice a month.
  • What if it rains?
Nobody likes a wet dog! If there is heavy rain, we will cancel, and you have the option of rescheduling to another date or receiving a full refund. Because weather forecasts in Atlanta change rapidly, we will make the call by 8 am the day of the crawl and let you know by email. Please note that once we have bookings, we do not cancel the Doggie Crawl for any weather condition other than rain (or heaven forbid, snow).
  • How much walking is involved?
We walk down the BeltLine from Inman Park to Cabbagetown, stopping at several spots along the way. It is about 1.2 miles total, plus a 15-20 minute walk back to the starting point after the crawl.
  • Where does the Doggie Crawl end?
We end on the BeltLine near Krog Street Market. It is about a 15-20 minute walk back to where we start.
  • How many dogs can I bring?
You can bring up to 3 fur babies per booking. First, select the Adult with Dog ticket, then choose “Additional Dogs.” You can select 1 or 2.
  • Does my doggie sit inside the restaurant?
We sit on restaurant patios. They are all dog-friendly and provide water bowls, and sometimes additional treats. We do not bring dogs inside restaurants, in accordance with Georgia health laws.
  • What if something comes up and I can’t make it?
No problem! We encourage you to book early, as this event is very popular. You can cancel up to 48 hours before the Doggie Crawl for a full refund. No-shows will be charged the full price and will not receive a refund or credit.
  • Can I come if I don’t have a dog?
Our focus is on spoiling our furry friends with a gourmet dining experience. If you do not have a dog, borrow one from a friend or family member!
  • How many friends/family members can I bring?
If you want to bring someone, we offer a companion ticket as a courtesy at a reduced price. Because we want to leave enough space for the dogs, we allow 1 companion with each Adult with Dog.
  • Can I give this as a gift to someone?
Yes! This is a great gift for your favorite paw-rent and their pup. Select Gift Cards from the menu bar on our website, and select the amount you would like. Gift cards are redeemable for any available Doggie Crawl, up to 1 year from purchase.
  • Are children allowed?
The Doggie Crawl is appropriate for adults 17+. We do not allow children at this time.
  • How can I become a pawt-ner for this event?
We pawt-ner with several local and national pet companies who provide giveaways for our furry guests. If you are interested in offering your product to our canine customers, we would love to hear from you. Please email contact@bitelinesatl.com. Please note that this is a moving crawl – we do not have anywhere for vendors to set up tables or booths.
