I am thrilled to share that I am relaunching BiteLines, my food & art tours on the Atlanta BeltLine. The first tour will be Saturday, June 5, and tours will be offered most Saturdays at 11 am.
Starting at Krog Street Market, named "one of the world's best food halls" by Travel & Leisure, we will eat our way down the Atlanta BeltLine. This is an easy walk on a flat surface, some of it shaded, with several stops as we sample food and a cocktail from some of Atlanta's best restaurants. A walk down the Atlanta BeltLine is a food lover's dream.
We eat at 5 or 6 restaurants, getting a taste of Mexican, pizza, BBQ, Chinese and other foods. Some of my favorite restaurants are on board (which I will share over the next few posts). More than half are minority owned.
And with more than 15 murals, sculptures and exhibits along the way, we will explore the art and artists that earn the Atlanta BeltLine a reputation as the South's largest outdoor art exhibit. I share my firsthand knowledge of the Atlanta BeltLine, explain who is behind the street art and show videos of artists creating their work. There are several opportunities to interact with the art, and some great opps for selfies.

I am so excited to lead these tours (for now) because I have lived on the Atlanta BeltLine the past 7 years. I have walked more than 1,000 miles on the BeltLine, and witnessed an explosion of growth around me. I have seen the Old Fourth Ward become the hottest neighborhood in Atlanta (sorry not sorry, VaHi). I have seen scores of new restaurants, including the openings of two food halls (Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market).
And as someone who loves art, I watch new murals and street art go up daily on the Atlanta BeltLine, learn about the artists behind the art, and often interview them. If you have missed some of these, check out my previous blog posts here.

I started the tours in late 2019, and was ramping up in spring 2020 when COVID shut everything down (you remember). Now, my boyfriend and I are fully vaccinated, and it seems safe to bring back the tours.
